Gator Band Alumni Association Virtual Reunion

Even though we can’t get together in person this year, we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to cheer on the Gators and celebrate our time in the Gator Band – all from your own home! Please read carefully through the details below before you register.

• Register for the virtual reunion – FREE! – on Friday, November 13 against Arkansas.

• Donate to support the Gator Band.

• Donate to any of the Gator Band scholarships and endowments through the College of the Arts, School of Music.

Joining the Reunion Online

Before the reunion, we will send out a Zoom link to everyone that can be used for you to join us on-line. The festivities begin at 7:30 pm (EST), and you're welcome to join and leave at any time. We’ve invited some special guests to join us, and you won’t want to miss them – so tune in early and stay tuned in for all the fun!

You won’t to miss out on all the festivities we have planned:

Friday, November 13, 7:30pm

• Special guests – Don’t miss our friends from the Athletic Department and the School of Music.

• An update on the Gator Band.

• A virtual tour of the Gator Band’s new practice field and pavilion.

• A day in the life of a Gator Band student.

• Presentation of Scholarship awards.

• Prizes - We may have a special something for you! Are you the 100th person to register, or maybe the 200th? Are you joining us farther away than anyone else, or are you the oldest person here?

• Tailgate rooms – Reconnect on Friday night and game day with friends from your time in the Gator Band! We are working to set up breakout rooms by decades in the band.

Saturday, November 14

• Watch the game with your Gator Band Alumni Band friends. We’ll leave the Zoom open throughout the game, so as you watch on TV at home. Just like if we were at Florida Field - Cheer with your fellow alumni, or if you just want to join at the end of the third quarter for “We Are The Boys,” we’ll be online with you.

The virtual reunion will also serve as our required annual business meeting to bring the membership up to speed on the status of the Alumni Band.

Registration

At the top of this page is a button for "Registration." Although this is a free event, you must register so we can send you the Zoom link. Please be sure to register with the email address you want the link to be sent. We will not share your information or post it anywhere. You must be pre-registered through this site to be able to join the virtual reunion! Your registration must be completed by November 10.

Some common questions (and answers):

• Do I have to be a member to participate? Yes – to participate in any of the Alumni Band events, you must be a dues-paying member of the UF Alumni Association. If you are not currently a member, you can join here: https://connect.ufalumni.ufl.edu/membership/join-the-ufaa 2020 graduates can join for free this year!

• How do I log in? A link will be sent to all registered participants after registration closes. Please use this link to log in on your device.

• I'm going to arrive late - what arrangements do I need to make? No problem - jump in and out of the virtual reunion whenever it fits your schedule.

• Can I update my registration information? Yes - refer to your confirmation email from EventBrite, and log back into the EventBrite site to make the necessary adjustments. If that does not work, contact Lillian Dompe at ldompe@arts.ufl.edu, and she will be able to assist you.
